Upon his admission to the Surinamese Bar Association in 2003, Dennis F. Chocolaad acquired the esteemed lawfirm of Henk Struiken, an authoritative lawyer who later became a member of the Surinamese Judiciary in 2006. Building upon this foundation, Dennis F. Chocolaad subsequently acquired the prestigious Trademark Firm "Trademark Bureau Paramaribo" in 2018, expanding the firm’s scope of services.

Trademark Bureau Paramaribo
Working alongside our dedicated team, we take immense pride in continuing the legacy of Trademark Bureau Paramaribo. We are committed to serving our clientele in the most comprehensive and professional manner.
Originally founded in 1983 by Mr. Stanislaus Thijm, a prominent lawyer practicing law in Paramaribo, Trademark Bureau Paramaribo started as a small practice offering trademark and other IP related services. Over the years, the practice grew and Mr. Thijm successfully built up an impressive portfolio.
Following Mr. Thijm’s passing in 2000, the reins of Trademark Bureau Paramaribo were handed over to Letitia Thijm. Under her management, the practice flourished and became an indispensable workstation, serving as a trusted IP agent for various international clients.
After the unfortunate passing of Letitia Thijm in 2018, Trademark Bureau Paramaribo was transferred to Dennis Chocolaad. With his profound understanding of IP law, Dennis Chocolaad has proven to be an invaluable asset to the firm, demonstrating a deep commitment to upholding its success and fostering its continued expansion.
